Movies to Watch During COVID-19 Quarantine

Right now, the world is on fire and we are on lockdown. Boredom and cabin fever are setting in; we are getting restless and must get creative to cure that boredom and cabin fever. Since we must follow protocol if we want to stay alive and healthy, and I think movies are pretty OK, I made a list for you to watch to help pass the time.

For conveniency, I separated by genre so the option to pick which to watch depending on your mood is there.

I started to put where you can stream, rent, or buy, but that became daunting. There is an app called JustWatch, which tells you where you can do all three for any movie. Use this when looking for a movie; it’s very handy.

This was a challenging list to make because there’s a lot more than what’s on here that you need to see, but I didn’t want to overwhelm with a zillion movies, so I tried to keep it as low as I could without giving myself a panic attack for not adding this or that. Maybe I’ll add later.

I tried to balance it — comedies, drama, arthouse cinema/indie movies (which my mom refers to as “weird movies,),” movies where the main characters are in quarantine that won’t give you a panic attack, great international features, action, horror, franchises, and documentary.

I narrowed this list down the best I could — there’s so much radical content out there that if I added all the movies I wanted to, this list would be endless scrolling. So a lot is missing, and you may think, “Why didn’t Chase put [Movie Title] on there? He’s jawed about it online to the point of extreme annoyance.” You now have the answer. I either forgot, didn’t have room, or waiting to add later.

Heads up, I put the director’s name next to some movies. This is to avoid confusion with terrible movies that share the same title.

Menikmati!

Note: I’ll be adding to this list here and there. Will put in bold, so if you’ve seen the list already, you can easily find what I added at a later date.
